The St. Joseph Initiative:

Community Free Job Listing

Working Together… For Our Community’s Future!

Program Launch Date Fall 2008

The St. Joseph Initiative: Community Free Job Listing  (SJCFJL) is a social justice project of The Reformed Catholic Church and Pater Noster House.  The project is NOT an employment agency that seeks to charge clients or employers for services rendered.  Rather, it is staffed by a team of dedicated volunteers who are interested in providing support and assistance to those seeking to return to the Central Ohio workplace. The program is funded in part by the generosity of private donors and The Reformed Catholic Church.   Our sole objective is to successfully match those seeking employment with employers in Central Ohio.

The St. Joseph Initiative: CFJL endeavors to help those who face possible barriers to employment to successfully overcome them and obtain viable/suitable employment that will enable them to have job security and opportunities for professional development.

As part of our employment services, we assist our clients with resume development, job skills assessment, and interviewing techniques. Those who have English language barriers are offered English as a Second Language (ESL) Courses or are referred to another agency for assistance. Those who need GED certification will be referred to the appropriate agencies. We offer a series of free Job Fairs that are open to the public.  Job Fairs are held every four months.

Currently, we are developing employment possibilities in the following five areas of employment:
